1 Osborne, located prominently at a Claremont intersection in Cape Town, faces Cavendish Square and boasts sweeping views from Constantiaberg to Table Mountain. The west-facing façade features a punctured brick design to minimize heat, complemented by aluminium fins and balconies that provide filtered light and shading throughout the day. Extensive greenery, including creeping plants, envelops the building, enhancing shade and integrating nature into the corporate environment.
Materials such as off-shutter concrete, painted brickwork, and durable aluminum-timber screens were chosen for longevity and maintenance ease, exemplifying the project’s holistic approach to design, sustainability, and urban integration.
